A Challenge to all Filipino architects, designers and CG artist.

Hi! My fellow architects, designers and CG artist.

Allow me to share to you this guy who is by now in my own humble opinion is a successful one in our field. Who doesn't know Stanislav  Orekhov ? If you are a 3d artist or something of this nature, I bet you already knew this talented guy.

Stanislav Orekhov  started as a draftsman then 3d modeler then 3d visualizer and now he is the CEO of   www.d-e-s-i-g-n.ru studio.  What really impresses me to this guy is his entrepreneurial mindset.  After he master and dominate the world of 3d visualization he then make his own website for  3d visualization and then offer  a training course for 3d visualization in interior design and architectural design, he even accept interior designing and I think architectural designing as well  and to top of that he is selling his own 3d stuff. Can you break that? Wow! What a brilliant idea, right?

Here are some of his works.....

To view more of his works please visit his site www.d-e-s-i-g-n.ru

My dear fellows, you might wonder why I share this one here in my blog. To be honest with you guys I
just want to challenge our very own Filipino talent. I would like to address this challenge to our very talented, world class guys in the world of 3d and computer graphics that I hope and pray that we can all learn from this guy, imagine he started as a draftsman and look at him now. I knew a lot of Filipino talent in our field that are more talented than this guy (in my bias opinion, of course!) but don't have this entrepreneurial mindset. After they were able to master the world of 3d visualization they stop growing and they are already satisfied with that little fame they’ve got. You might be asking why, it’s because they don’t have anymore drive to continue and they don’t have anymore reason to pursue. There are so many super talented Filipino artist but they don't know how to market their service that is why they are still struggling financially. Guys, this is a big challenge to all of us. We have the brain, the skills, the talent and the looks (just kidding folks) but you get what I'm trying to drive, right?. If Mr. Stanislav Orekhov did it why can't we?

Entrepreneurship is not just about making money and to become wealthy as Mr. John L. Gokongwei said in his commencement address to the 2004 Ateneo de Manila University graduating class that it is also one way to serve our countrymen and to help our country's economy.

Do you think that blaming and cursing our Philippine government can help our country's morale and economy? The bible says...
(James 3:9) My dear friends, with our tongues we speak both praises and curses. We praise our Lord and Father, and we curse people who were created to be like God, and this isn't right.

(John 8:7) Finally, he stood up and said, "If any of you have never sinned, then go ahead and throw the first stone at her!"

If we only recognize the power of our mind, our thoughts, our words, our hearts and our actions then and only then we can uplift our country's morale and economy. As Mr. John L. Gokongwei said in his address... Entrepreneurship is the answer....

(If you want to read the commencement address to the 2004 Ateneo de Manila University graduating class given by Mr. John L. Gokongwei please visit this blog. Click here).

Folks, dream and dream big and don't stop dreaming. Let us keep on believing in our dreams, because dreams are the seedlings of our reality.

Remember this verse from the Holy book my dear friends,
“Therefore I say unto you, all things whatsoever you pray and ask for, believe that you will receive them and you shall have them.” Mark 11:24

So long fellows, together we say it out loud with conviction,
In God’s name I will live my dreams.

Living the dream,

Futuristic Bahay Kubo.

Good morning fellows!
(The Sun of opportunity never sets, that is why it is always Good Morning!)
Guys, allow me to share something different today. You might be surprised by this post that I called futuristic bahay kubo (for those who are not Filipino bahay kubo is a native house in the Philippines). Actually, this is neither my idea nor my designs. I got this one from one of the Philippine forum in the net called CGPINOY. I post this one here in my blog because I thought this is something worth sharing for. CGPINOY is a 3d visualization hub for Filipino designers, architects, interior designers and 3d artist. From time to time CGPINOY deal up competitions which allows designers and 3d artist showcase their talent. Actually this competition was held last May 2009. The objectives of this competition are:
1. To promote camaraderie among cgpinoy members.
2. To promote awareness of the Philippine Bahay Kubo.
3. To promote the use of Green Architecture Technologies and Innovations.
4. To share ideas on the future of housing design.
5. To enhance one's skill as a cg artist.
6. And to have fun!

The results are pretty amazing and awesome considering that they share one simple idea to design a Bahay Kubo of the future but each designer have different approach and solution.
Here are the winners....
1st Place...
2nd Place...

3rd Place...

Here are some promising entries...

For more info about the competition please visit this site cgpinoy

Post Modern House-2

Good morning fellows! Here's the latest dream house I design.
(The Sun of opportunity never sets, that is why it is always Good Morning!)
Hey! guys, you might wonder why I post this postmodern house again since I already had this last month. If you remember in my previous post that I mentioned to talk more on postmodern house. (Here's the link to that post.) Fellows, allow me to give you some insights about postmodern architecture. But before that let me share with you my latest dream house design which I named it Postmodern house. Drum roll please!!!!!!!!!
(click this postmodern house image to enlarge)
Postmodern architecture began as an international style the first examples of which are generally cited as being from the 1950s, but did not become a style until the late 1970s and continues to influence present-day architecture. Postmodernity in architecture is said to be heralded by the return of "wit, ornament and reference" to architecture in response to the formalism of the International Style of modernism. As with many cultural fashions, some of Postmodernism's most pronounced and visible ideas can be seen in architecture. The functional and formalized shapes and spaces of the modernist style are replaced by diverse aesthetics: styles collide, form is adopted for its own sake, and new ways of viewing familiar styles and space abound. Perhaps most obviously, architects rediscovered the expressive and symbolic value of architectural elements and forms that had evolved through centuries of building which had been abandoned by the modern style.

Postmodern architecture has also been described as "neo-eclectic", where reference and ornament have returned to the facade, replacing the aggressively unornamented modern styles. This eclecticism is often combined with the use of non-orthogonal angles and unusual surfaces, most famously in the State Gallery of Stuttgart (New wing of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart) by James Stirling and the Piazza d'Italia by Charles Moore. The Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh have also been cited as being of postmodern vogue.

One building form that typifies the explorations of Postmodernism is the traditional gable roof, in place of the iconic flat roof of modernism. Shedding water away from the center of the building, such a roof form always served a functional purpose in climates with rain and snow, and was a logical way to achieve larger spans with shorter structural members, but it was nevertheless relatively rare in modern houses. (These were, after all, "machines for living," according to LeCorbusier, and machines did not usually have gabled roofs.) However, Postmodernism's own modernist roots appear in some of the noteworthy examples of "reclaimed" roofs. For instance, Robert Venturi's Vanna Venturi House breaks the gable in the middle, denying the functionality of the form, and Philip Johnson's 1001 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan advertises a mansard roof form as an obviously flat, false front. Another alternative to the flat roofs of modernism would exaggerate a traditional roof to call even more attention to it, as when Kallmann McKinnell & Wood's American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cambridge, Massachusetts, layers three tiers of low hipped roof forms one above another for an emphatic statement of shelter.

Here's another scene from this Postmodern House.....
(click this postmodern house image to enlarge)
The land or the lot area of this post modern house is 300 square meter with a hundred square meter of building floor area. It has one master bedroom with bathroom, two bedroom with one common bathroom, living area, dining area, kitchen and service area. The owner of this house was first thinking to build this in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, Philippines, and then he change his mind to build in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines and he finally decided to built this in Balingasag Misamis Oriental Philippines.
Folks, you might ask if this post modern house is already build. The owner is planning to built this house by the last quarter of this year 2011. So basically this is still a plan. Hopefully by the grace of our Almighty God these dream house will manifest.

My dear friends, this might not be the very best postmodern house design or the best architectural design online or the best online interior design you can see in the world or in the Philippines but for someone, somewhere it might be the best dream house design they could ever imagine.
Folks, Every house is a dream come true. First it starts in our thoughts, in our mind, or in our dreams, then it manifest. If you are a believer of the law of attraction then you will understand what I am talking about. Now folks, are you living your dream house or shall I say are you living your dreams? The answer lies deep within you. Keep believing in your dreams. Keep dreaming. Because dreams are the seedlings of our reality.

" With God all things are possible " (Mat. 19:26).
